Dyslexia like spelling changes are very specific for second wave Paill Spectrum.  These changes will only be found when Paill Spectrum infection is established in early childhood.  The changes appear rapidly.  Testing the child can give good results one week, and be quite impaired the next.  Children do learn, so the long-term progression of the illness is towards generally better.

 The characteristic flips and reversals are best seen with number recall testing not with word recall testing.  There is also a memory problem present, evident when the child completely misremembers the number.
