This shows a typical scenario for an acutely ill Paill Spectrum patient. There is something obviously wrong with the person and it is obvious to the person's relations. Doctors are seen but there is nothing obviously wrong with the person. Tests show that everything appears normal in the usual diagnostic test series that doctors run.

Blanking is a distinctive but rare symptom scenario. Other typical Paill Spectrum symptoms are present: loss of capacity for speech, mood changes, irritability, sleep changes and memory changes. Many of the symptoms of the usual Paill Spectrum syndrome cluster may also be present, such as sweaty hands, loss of balance and painful or tender areas: most commonly affecting the shoulders and abdomen.
