Case 6: Comments 1
Bruises a lot: the bruising in Paill Spectrum is not severe. People just bruise in the usual places a lot more easily than usual. Common scenarios are finger dot bruises on the upper body. Patients also get big bruises from injures that they describe as simply bumping themselves a little. The bruises usually occur in situations or with trauma that most people would describe as normally not likely to cause bruising. People worry a bit about the symptoms because it is so noticeable, more so in women. The blood coagulation profiles if investigated are normal. It probably relates to increased vascular permeability due to interferon activation by Paill Spectrum infection.
Mentions that she often needs a nap of about 40 minutes. “I was so tired that I was in tears yesterday. If only I could sleep all day, I would.”
Chronic fatigue is not always described in these terms some people just describe the symptom as sleeping more or just not feeling well after exercise. The Paill Spectrum model suggests that when people stop exercising, (when they have previously enjoyed exercise), due to aches and pains after activity, that Paill Spectrum infection is likely.
She is very “sporty” and prides herself on her slender figure. I get the distinct impression or suspicion that she has been eating poorly and dieting a lot with irregular food intake. Poor nutrition and dieting for weight loss are very dangerous Paill Spectrum flare scenarios. The problems develop many months down the track though; so most people do not link the dieting effects on their nutrition with their new illness symptoms.
Nutrition in 1 of 3 people can cause excellent improvements in patient’s symptoms.
