If Paill Spectrum causes chronic fatigue, sweatiness it is likely that you do not feel well or feel “podgy”.   Celiac and many low-grade wheat allergic patients typically report that they feel heavy if they do a run or jog.  So there may be several explanations for this traditional observation. Exercise is good for your health, but makes no difference to the underlying Paill Spectrum disease process.

The body is now “damp” and because the spleen controls the muscles, the muscles carry this moisture and one feels “podgy”. I was taught that damp is the hardest thing to dislodge. Exercise won’t do it, which is frustrating for people on a good exercise regime. Those living in a moist humid area are particularly affected by this condition.

Most Celiacs would relate to the above information and are aware of gluten intolerance, but this is only part of the story. The biggest issue I find with Celiacs is that they do not understand the whole picture because of a lack of information. Basically one needs to give the stomach – spleen mechanism foods that it can digest e.g. macrobiotic foods.
