Home Made Caramel Muesli Bars :

Topping

 Preheat oven to 200 C
Smear margarine to line a rectangular cake tin
Boil the 400 g tin of sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan full of boiling water (while still in the tin) for about 90 minutes

 Mix together all the ingredients in the bars list using half the condensed milk from the caramelized tin
Press into the lined rectangular cake tin
Bake for 15 minutes

Mix golden syrup into remainder of the sweetened condensed milk to make the Topping
Remove cake tin from oven
Pour the warm Topping over the biscuits base in the cake tin
Allow to cool before cutting into squares

Home Made Caramel Muesli Bars

(Generally, even if the glucose syrup is derived from wheat starch, processing removes most if not all the gluten. This makes the product at least low in gluten if not gluten free. To be labelled as "low gluten", products must have less than 0.2% gluten content. To be labelled as gluten free, products must have less than 0.002% gluten content. Normal wheat may have up to 20 - 25% protein content (effectively gluten), under normal circumstances.)
