Serum B12 223 pM ( RR >130): Barely OK according to Paill Spectrum criteria, but it has fallen quite a lot in someone who is supposed to be taking vitamin supplements.
RBC Folate 308 nM (RR >250): poor according to Paill Spectrum criteria, especially in someone who is supposed to be taking vitamin supplements.
The Paill Spectrum model has a specific set of criteria for interpreting serum vitamin levels. See the doctor’s information sheet.
Two conclusions can be made. The patient is not taking multivitamins. There is probably a specific problem affecting B12 absorption, independent of diet or multivitamin intake.
Serum Zinc 14.7 uM (RR 12.0-28.0) : better, but higher still preferred.
Antigliaden IgG 0.38 (RR <1.00): Mildly positive
Antigliaden IgA 0.14 (RR <1.00) : OK
The Paill Spectrum model suggests that any Antigliaden antibody level greater than 20-25% of reference range as calibrated for endoscopically proven Celiac disease, is likely to have significant health effects on the patient, both directly and indirectly. Wheat antibodies (anti-gliaden antibodies) trigger low-grade malabsorption problems sufficient to affect vitamin and mineral uptake. They also affect antigen processing probably at the TAP protein level, causing the immune response to other antigens to be smoke screened by the continued presence of wheat antigen. (Also known as gliaden or gluten).

Gamma 12 (RR 6 – 15) :Positive for Paill Spectrum
